The ISPS Handa Wales Open is broadcast worldwide with live tournament coverage on Sky TV covering 160 million households across the globe. Substantial highlights programmes also feature on Sky and BBC Wales broadcasts highlights on the final two days of the Championship.


Worldwide coverage of the ISPS Handa Wales Open includes live coverage on The Golf Channel in the USA and Canada, reaching more than 83 million homes in North America.


Substantial live broadcasts are also transmitted by television stations across Europe, and in more than 30 countries worldwide including South Africa, China, Japan, Australia, India and the Middle East.

About ISPS

ISPS (International Sports Promotion Society) was founded by Japanese philanthropist, Dr Haruhisa Handa, in 2006 and has fostered partnerships with golf governing bodies worldwide to help develop the game at every level and promote blind and disabled golf.


Chaired by Japanese businessman and philanthropist Dr Haruhisa Handa, ISPS (International Sports Promotion Society) supports the International Blind Golf Association and aims to raise the profile of blind and disabled golf, with a mission to make golf a Paralympic sport.


The 2012 ISPS Handa Wales Open was ISPS’s first European Tour event following successful sponsorships of tournaments on the European Senior Tour, Ladies European Tour, Asian Tour, Japanese Golf Tour Organisation, PGA of Japan Seniors Tour, Australian PGA and Legends Tour.

 

Dr Handa has more than 25 years involvement in golf around the world at varying levels of the game. He is International Ambassador to the Asian Tour and the Ladies European Tour. He is also Patron of Golf Australia alongside Greg Norman and Honorary Chairman of the Legends Tour. ISPS is a Major Partner of Faldo Series Asia, Nick Faldo’s golf development programme.

 

ISPS has also launched the ISPS Handa PGA Academy in the UK, providing 1,000 free lessons for blind and disabled golfers with qualified PGA professionals.
